Arambula Update

E.J. Schultz of the Fresno Bee has an update on the fate of Assemblyman Arambula:

Blunder or bravery, Arambula backs his bond stand:

Stripped of the chairmanship, he will no longer set the tone in the jobs and economic development committee. Arambula was pursuing an aggressive agenda, including reforming the state's enterprise zone program to better serve needy neighborhoods. The program gives tax breaks to companies for hiring disadvantaged workers.

He discusses the various perspectives regarding whether this was a bold stand for principal or a shortsighted blunder causing the loss of important power and initiative. It certainly seems like the former, but may be the latter at the same time.
