AB 485 Amendments Update

A new committee analysis of AB 485 has been published online authored by Mark Stivers. This is an analysis of the bill as it will be amended on Aug. 7, that version has not yet been printed. Regarding the issue I was unclear about the other day, this analysis makes it more clear to me:

It is highly likely that some of the enterprise zones selected for designation in the current round will be identical to or overlap with existing zones due to expire in the near future. This bill seeks to allow for a seamless transition by allowing employers to continue receiving tax benefits during the gap period once the new zone has received a preliminary designation. The intent is to simplify administration of the program for both employers and zone managers by avoiding breaks in the local program.

This bit could solve a lot of potential problems.
